Good to hear from you, you're right on. And this brings me back to Ecclesiastes because it's frustrating & sorrowful to try to help loved ones only to have them ignore or rebuke.

"The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure." Ecclesiastes 7:4

As the old saying goes "Never argue with fools. They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience". I had to remind myself of this recently while temporarily (thank God!) having to deal with such a person.

Thank you again for another insightful and encouraging message. I would think many believers in Christ have or are experiencing this very challenge. It takes a great amount of courage to allow the Holy Ghost to bring a believer to the point of recognizing when they have to “wipe the dust off their feet” and walk away. I have had to do that recently and I just thought that “I am not going to be able to be that person who can help them anymore” and maybe if/when it gets even darker for them God will put someone else in their path. So, again thank you Hugo, for this encouragement

I have had this experience also, realizing that just because people are in my life doesn't mean that I am the person to minister the truth to them. I came to the conclusion that I have no more oil for fools, because there will be nothing left for me when the Bridegroom comes.

Very nice analogy, “no more oil for fools”…

Yeah, watching Hollywood movies is hanging out with fools too. You clearly explained the true fool well. We were all fools before we knew the Lord. The Lord is so good to be patient, waiting for us to repent. I just heard a sermon about the Israel king. Manassah. He was so wicked and he finally repented toward the end of his life. So, I guess I will keep praying for our wicked leaders. I was praying for lighting bolts for them, but now, I think I will pray for their eyes to be open.

I learned this the hard way, writing letter after letter to my only Sister, but found that nothing gets through to them, after they have left their first love, and taken on an evil heart of unbelief. As the scripture says, "They cannot be charmed, charming never so wisely." And speaking about our Lord only brings anger and hate. SO SAD. Many, many tears and prayers, but they they remain "changed." Then I was led to Titus 3: 9 - 11 - But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. (10) A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; (11) knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. There is another scripture that says they judge themselves unworthy. And then they call our love for them hate. What you said, Hugo...they utterly reject wisdom, or being told they are wrong. Even trying to lovingly tell them. Thank you for this pearl of wisdom. IF ONLY THE SUBVERTED SAW GOD'S WORD OF LIFE THAT WAY...THE ONLY TRUE WISDOM OF THE AGES, AND THE ONLY WAY TRUTH AND LIFE.

Ego prevents many folk from learning and understanding the mistakes that they have made, thus they are fated to make the same mistakes time and time again. ❤️

The hardest decision I've ever made recently was to give up on a fool after nearly 35 years of pure torture at times, but my wisdom went unheeded, my financial help the same, not that money means anything to me, I'm one of God's givers, I was at times afraid of violent reactions until God said to me NO MORE. You see this fool is my son whom I love dearly. He pressed the self destruct button, but it was years after that i was told by him the cause.

He like a lot of kids nowadays tried drugs at a young age and had a "bad trip" His personality changed overnight, he then became an alcoholic to rid himself of his nightmare visions. it was a never ending cycle of making the same mistakes over and over again, lost friends, girlfriends, jobs, etc.

It destroyed my peace but never my faith, God carried me through those very difficult times (Footsteps).

I am rebuilding my life and my peace and joy in the Lord has been restored ( praise the Lord).

My prayer is that God will direct him to the right person, who will encourage him on the path of LIFE only through Jesus can this ever be achieved.

Sadly until that time happens there will be no contact between us. I must leave my burdens for God to fix.

My faith and belief is that God will unite us, if not in this lifetime then in the next.

Romans 8 chapter 9 -10

Blessings to all my brothers and sisters in Christ 😇🙏🏻🙏🏻AMEN

This rings true. I associated with fools, became a fool, and made many mistakes. Eventually, I was able to learn and grow, and now I am careful about who I associate with. At best, a fool will waste your time. Thanks for the reminder, Hugo!

Timely video. I have some of these people in my life. I have eliminated a few of them and am working on doing the same for the rest.

Sorry, I love my fools, I need my fools, I'm going down with them.

Love them, pray for them, but don't let them drag you down that wide road to destruction...you'll be eternally sorry with no way back to the Lord. That is the most horrible thing that can happen to ANYONE, but most won't know that until they end up in that place, with no hope of ever getting out. NO LIGHT OF GOD forever. Please read Luke 16:19-31. It's very real. YOU DON'T WANNA GO DOWN TO THAT PLACE. Praying for you AND their souls, for it is written: "Every soul is precious, and its REDEMPTION ceaseth forever." (those who forsake the Lord) Ask for Jesus' redemption now, while you still can. For soon it will be too late.
