Dear Hugo,

It’s wonderful that you are defending the faith; it would be awesome if more people did this! I get what you are saying about suffering being used to grow us:

“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

Suffering such as illness needs not last forever though; by Jesus blood we can receive healing and deliverance, as I will explain further below. As you touched on, hard circumstances have purpose and I’ll add that God also works all things together for our good, that’s how any horrible circumstance can be used to grow us, refine us, build our faith (the faith muscle so to speak) and ultimately give God glory. We can also see by the revelation of Holy Spirit, why certain bad things happened to us (some things we may not know until we see Jesus face to face in Heaven)

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

As to why there are horrible insects upon the earth; that is due to the fall of mankind where Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and sin entered the world. God created everything “good” and Adam and Eve lived in the paradise of Eden with God. When they chose to sin, death entered the world, along with decay (the curse) and they allong with all of mankind were separated from Father God.

Genesisi 3:17-19 “And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”

Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

Genesis 3:14 “And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:”

Romans 8:22 “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”

Thankfully, Jesus ultimately became a curse when He was crucified on the cross and by His death and resurrection He broke the curse of sin and death. We (Spirit filled believers) are now free from sin and curses by His precious blood and adopted by God as His children. Do we still suffer? Do curses still exist? Does satan continue to attack us? Yes, but we now have authority by the power of Jesus Christ living within us, by the power of Holy Spirit to overcome sin, suffering, sickness, the attacks of the enemy and to break curses in Jesus Holy name.

Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Galatians 3:13 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:”

1 Corinthians 15:55-57 “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

We as believers are over comers, and Jesus equips us to deal with every circumstance in this life. This world is not our home but while we are passing through, Jesus blesses our lives immensely. The blessings, however, are not our focus; our focus is Jesus and doing His will. We also no longer fear death because to live is to be with Jesus and to die is also to be with Jesus (eternal life) and when Jesus returns and reigns, everything will be made new and right as stated in Isaiah:

Isaiah 11:6-9 “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. 7And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. 9They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”

This is a lot to digest I understand, but many do not know that Jesus is still healing and delivering people today and that suffering only came to be due to Adam and Eve’s original sin.

Jesus hasn’t changed and He never will; Jesus loves us and He wants us to live abundant lives in Him by Holy Spirit. I have experienced so much physical healing and deliverance in my life! (I’m currently writing about my testimonies and sharing them to bring God glory and encourage others).

Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”

John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

Matthew 10:7-8 “And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”

Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

Sorry for the really long comment! I hope what I have written helps.

God bless you and your family abundantly,

Emma
