That guy looks like a "Chad." Some gross caricature of masculinity. A mish mash of physical vanity, excessive greed, and boasts about "crushing" the opponent. Lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life respectively.

Although I cannot recall the episode that Hugo did a while back, He like many of us love The King James Bible, and he went into some detail concerning some of the differences, (although it is not possible to cover all of them) in why this is his personal preference. In many of the more contemporary bibles there are sin's of commission and sins of omission, *e.g. The Jehovah's Witness's New world version Omits the first 8 verses of John Chapter 8 about the woman caught in adultery, claiming (at least by their standards that it was not in the "original text". In that Same bible they also inserted the letter "a" in John Chapter 1, verse one, by declaring (The Word was a god). Those who walk after the Spirit and not according to the letter must use their own discernment as concerning the will of God for their own lives.

Thank you fro this. I have been using the NIV & ESV & Lateley NLT ( which I think is better that the other two ) BUT, looks like most scholars or those who are more experienced than I use King James for the exact reasons as you say. I dont really know all the differences but it is said that ALL other versions are Manipulated. Today , Searching, I have come across the NEW KING JAMES Version which claims to be the Same as KJV But contemporary language/words/ Do you know about the New King James?

I have made some observations, concerning it, It is not just the poetry of the 1611 King Jame's Bible that makes it unique, but the spirit of those who labored intensely to give us the best rendition of what God was trying to communicate with us. The Pilgrims who first came to America, used the Geneva Bible, one on which Dr. Naomi Wolf sometimes elaborates in her sub stack. I honestly do not trust the new (neo) King James because of some of the inflections in the language can be subject to ambiguous interpretations, and we know that the scripture are not intended for private interpretations. 2nd Peter 1:20
