Just to clarify one of the points made in this video.
Denomination means division.
Denomination is, "a sect, class, or division" and a sect is, "a party dissenting from an established or parent church; a denomination."
Scripture states
1 Corinthians 1:10-17
"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."
When you see Christians arguing on and offline, it will usually be because they have different beliefs due to being from different denominations.
Denominations divide the body of Christ.
People assign themselves to denominations usually through water baptisms.
I'm not discouraging people from having fellowship with other believers. There is absolutely no reason why believers cannot congregate with other believers, One of the reasons that many believers do NOT congregate with others is because they have been segregated by a denomination.
Take Jehovah Witnesses for example.
Jehovah's Witnesses believe all other religions are part of "Babylon the Great", a "world empire of false religion" under the control of Satan. Consequently, they refuse all ecumenical relations with other religious denominations.
So you will find its not me who is discouraging it, it is the Denominations, and as I said, its all about creating division.
Of course I would encourage people to congregate with other believers, but that is difficult to do and a limited possibility BECAUSE of all the different denominations.
JW is a denomination though, Jehovah's Witnesses is a nontrinitarian, millenarian, restorationist Christian denomination. As of 2023, the group reported approximately 8.6 million members involved in evangelism, with around 20.5 million attending the annual Memorial of Christ's death. A Sect is another word for denomination. A sect can also be a cult. Many people call the Catholic Church a cult and I can see why. It could be said that any organized religion/denomination is a cult that's gotten successful and gone mainstream.
You heard Me say, ‘I am going away, and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.
Jesus own words “the Father is greater than I”
Revelation 3:12
English Standard Version
The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of MY God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of MY God, and the name of the city of MY God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from MY God out of heaven, and my own new name.
Jesus makes it absolutely clear that he has a God just as we do, who are you to say who is and isn’t a Christian!!!
I could not agree any more with you Hugo. By faith alone & not by deeds. I've pondered over this water baptism for the past couple of years. Recently I popped into the mormon church for a friendly chat & they have a baptism pool more akin to an Olympic swimming pool. I agree that this deed will then allow people to "take it easy" and thus assume they are saved & so they can carry on with the party. Certainly when I see russell brand pushing anything the warning ⚠️ bells sound !
I go it alone & do not need a club. I have a personal relationship with Jesus & that is how I like it....
THANK YOU FOR SHARING HUGO, to yourself and all of the tribe, love peace & blessings ❤️ 🙏🏼 ❤️
Thank you Hugo. You are a stark contrast to the up and coming artifice of religious denominations and celebrities, who are being vulgarly splashed over the internet to lure the masses into a new religious cult. To me, the recent “alleged” baptism of Russell Brand reeks of insincerity and seems to be typical of the way in which things are progressing. As I think you mentioned in a previous video Hugo, you can’t fake the in-dwelt presence of the Holy Spirit, His presence in you is real and changes you completely, being the living testimony in you, that God is real and His Faithful Word is eternal and true. Unbelievers of course can’t understand this, and apart from the faithfulness of Christ, it can be a lonely journey to travel on. This is why I appreciate and look forward to your videos so much. Thank you. Blessings to all ❤️
Absolutely right, this is exactly what I have felt too. The more I have read and studied Scripture, the more convinced I have become, that Jesus never intended for all these physical, organised churches to spring up. We, those who believe in Him, and accept Him as our Lord and Saviour, we are the church. We do not need to belong to, and attend a physical structure, we certainly don't need to be indoctrinated by all the various church doctrines and diktats. Many of them won't even allow you to join them unless you are 'baptised' by them! Where is the Scriptural basis for that? There is none! We should seek out fellow believing brothers and sisters in Christ, and that doesn't have to be a physical building. I believe that the growing 'church at home' is how Christ intended us to be - breaking bread together in His name, in small informal groups. And where that's not possible, online gatherings are a good alternative.
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Great topic to discuss as this does not seem to be talked about. I have to agree with Hugo about the whole water baptism concept and the purpose of it being pushed. The fact that our enemy agents are pushing it further reinforces his points on this subject. When you KNOW you you have the HOLY SPIRIT, you’re “ GOOD TO GO “ and that should effectively abolish any further “ deeds.”
There is a song that I have sung in many churches that goes with this perfectly. My last church that I had to leave, for wrong teaching, like "Once Saved, always saved" the Pastor of the Baptist church would not let me sing this song. (Most organized churches now serve the Mother church of Rome) Now I know why...It's called It's Not What's Over The Door --- of the church that you attend...that makes you a child of God, and a heavenly citizen. As the eyes of the Lord look this world o'er, There's just on thing He's looking for....can't you see that it's what's in your heart, and not what's over the door. The two verses are: Some people think today--if heaven you would see, you must belong to their one church, or be lost eternally--But according to God's Word, what He's still lookin' for...Is what He finds within your heart, and not what's over the door.
Verse 2: Does Jesus live in your heart,--and have you been born again?" Has the blood of Calvary's Lamb, washed away all your sins? Are you fully trusting in---the crucified risen Lord...Can't you see that it's what's in your heart, and not what's over the door. The scripture I read was 1 Samuel 16:7 - But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him--for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, BUT THE LORD LOOKS AT THE HEART."
Romans 10:9-10 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. OUR GOD REIGNS! HALLELUJAH!
I agree with what you have stated Hugo & thank you. Water baptism is ultimately the matter of understanding the depths of spiritual truths as also found in the type and shadow of Noah being saved in the ark from the flood because of his faith & obedience to God from God's judgement and wrath upon the wicked and ungodly world at that time as seen in Genesis chapters 6-9 & 1 Peter 3:8-22;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
Water baptism is a symbolic metaphor of action. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Gal 3:27; Rom 6:4
Symbolising of what happened to us and showing declaring outwardly our cleansing and purifying by & through the precious blood of Jesus from our former life and how now we have entered into a lifelong consecration devotion, dedicating our whole way of life to God & in sanctification, & in having counted the cost to be Jesus' teachable disciple, His learner & follower and live love for Jesus immersing ourselves completely as an entire way of life in Him in front of others who act as witnesses of this event, Matt 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
We are showing & declaring through water baptism that we entered into our two way intimate love relationship of holy communion through the lifeblood of communication through prayer and into covenant between us Jesus Christ, accepting and partaking fully of Him as the Passover lamb feasting upon every part of Him & his flesh and of his blood metaphorically indicating again accepting the spiritual truths contained within that John 6; Ex12 & when we received Holy spirit baptism and became born again subjecting ourselves to Jesus whom now dwells in us & as our head obediently yeilding to Gods will and purposes, to live and walk worthy of our high calling in Christ. The outward symbolism of water baptism is like when people get married and declare they are willing to enter into a selfless relationship to the one they love and adore both totally giving of themselves to each other. Even through all trials and tribulations, as His betrothed, we will remain loyal, faithful and true to our Lord Jesus Christ. Because our lives are now to live IS Christ and to die IS gain. The action of going under the water declares we have undergone repentance changed our mind to God's mind and how He thinks about sin, what He says is good, evil, sacred, set apart, holy, profane, accursed, displeasing & what is pleasing in His sight and how we came to Godly sorrow pierced at our hearts and wept before Him for having lived in total utter rebellion been ignorant and He forgiven us for our past sins, as we have renounced and repudiated them before Him. So going under the water shows we have been buried to that old self and die with Christ, entering with Him into his sufferings, die to self life, to sinning and when we come out of the water we are declaring outwardly which has already been done inwardly into our very mind heart and being and is evidenced in how we now think speak respond react & live saved by grace through faith & coming out of that water shows we have been resurrected into the newness of spirit of life living as new creations in Christ.
Romans 6: 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
So again, water baptism is demonstrating that we have buried & died to our old nature & coming out of the water as the resurrection newness of spirit of life, having become a new creation in Christ Jesus, had a revolutionary radical transformational encounter with Him, understood the good news about Jesus His sacrificial crucified life death burial resurrection & ascension, undergone repentance & metamorphosis died to self, and our old nature, died to sin to no longer wanting to willfully engage in habitual perpetual sinning, died to the world, to satans entire system of influences and his entire hordes of demonic spirits of his kingdom of darkness. Also having had deliverance and Jesus cast out any demonic possession or oppression by having had given them legal rights to enter into us through having made past sinful choices of living in ways contrary to God. We now walk the way of the cross. Picking up and carrying our cross daily, dying daily to follow Jesus as the lamb wherever He goes, and living out the power of His resurrection and holy spirit life in us. Bringing forth holy spirit filled fruits that befit repentance and righteousness.
Ultimately water baptism is also actually an act of showing obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus was without sin and didn't in any way even need to be water baptised, or declare what we do through that metaphor of symbolism, but he came to John to baptise him & as Jesus Himself said to fulfil all righteousness, Heavenly father sent His holy spirit in the form of a dove to show His great pleasure for him doing so. Matt 3: 15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.
Then he suffered him.
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
& it was a symbolic declaration showing Jesus' entire life now was to do the will of His father and engage solely in His ministry to show and represent He was God revealed as the word made flesh in Him having come down from above upon this earthly realm. Jesus left us an example to follow in His footsteps closely. "If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour." John 12:26
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Baptism can be done in a local river in a nice park, or even in your own bath tub! By another born again Holy spirit indwelt infilled brother or sister that have no affiliations and nothing whatsoever to do with any of the apostate harlot contemporary church buildings of today.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The ultimate question here is are we truly living obediently to all Jesus asks of us? Prayerfully consider what Jesus asks & as His disciples ask Heavenly father to guide and lead you as His spirit will lead into ALL truth.
Acts 2 Entire chapter but here I just want to highlight these verses: 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Agreed- water baptisms dilute the faith of a person, and denominations dilute the body of Christ.
If water baptisms are an unnecessary optional 'work', why do them- for any reason?! Don't distract from your need to simply have faith in God, and to commune with Him as much as possible. Because apart from keeping you on the straight and narrow path, that is the kind of relationship God wants with you.
And again, why join any denomination that could possibly detract from that relationship? If possible have communion only with other individuals who have that same kind of relationship with God. Then you will magnify the glory of His Way!
I 100% agree, Hugo, Scripture IS very clear and there are not mistakes or omissions in it.....thank you for your uploads, they are so informative and I know you keep us on the right track.
I believe the Water, Fire and Spirit to be separate baptisms required of us to pass through this particular part of the plan of perfection, if not, well, no biggie you only have all eternity to figure it out. I agree the religion and the water itself don't matter.
My parents decided to have me sprinkled as an infant in the UMC. I left the UMC at age 24 and began attending a non-denominational Scripture teaching church. When I discovered that they would baptize those who professed Jesus I was so excited to be baptized in this church because it was MY decision to confess Jesus as my Savior because He died for my sins and He had risen from the grave.........it meant something to me and according to Acts 16:25 - 32 the Jailer and his family heard Paul and Silas present the Gospel to them after not fleeing jail and they were "water baptized." It meant something to the jailer and his family and apparently Paul and Silas performed the baptism.

Satan could also be using you. Be warned

Was Jesus baptised?
What about Matthew 3:13
“Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.”
